NAPM Dinner Meeting

Dr. Conway is the founder and president of Conway Consulting. Prior to 1990, he worked as an auditor with Ernst and Young, an information systems analyst with Accenture, an information system analyst and a distinguished Faculty Fellow with Price Waterhouse and Company, and as a professor at Baylor University, Hankamer School of Business. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1970.

Lucian founded Conway Consulting in 1990 to help employees understand finance and accounting and recognize how their decisions directly impact company profits. While working as an auditor with Ernst and Young, he discovered that employees of Fortune 500 companies lacked a “connection” to the financial outcomes of their companies. Realizing that this “missing connection” was costing companies billions of dollars each year, he developed exciting new techniques for teaching finance and accounting to operating employees including managers, supervisors, and union employees. His enthusiasm for helping students and expertise in achieving results are reflected in the number of Fortune 500 companies that invite him to motivate and train their employees year after year. From these early beginnings, Conway Consulting has grown into a multi-million dollar company.

An entertaining and captivating presenter, Lucian G. Conway, Ph.D., CPA, is one of the leading instructors of finance and accounting in America. His high-energy, down-to-earth style takes the mystery out of numbers and has participants conversing confidently on financial matters before the course is over.

As a result of Dr. Conway’s research and writing he has authored over 40 books, academic journal articles, magazine articles, academic papers, manuals, and comments including publications in such prestigious academic journals as Management Accounting, Journal of Accountancy, and Accounting Horizons.
